How do I use allocation instrumentation on timeline?

In the Memory tool, use the Allocation instrumentation on timeline radio button to find objects that aren't being properly garbage-collected, and continue to retain memory. Allocation instrumentation on timeline combines the detailed snapshot information of the heap profiler with the incremental updating and tracking of the Performance tool.

What is allocation timeline?

With allocation timeline, you can select a small time frame and look at the snapshot of that time frame. The top dark blue + light gray bars show the memory size of the objects that are allocated and deallocated. The entire bar length (dark blue + gray) indicates total size of objects allocated.

What is allocation instrumentation in JavaScript?

Allocation instrumentation on timeline: Shows instrumented JavaScript memory allocations over time. Once a profile is recorded you can select a time interval to see objects that were allocated within it and still live by the end of the recording. Use this profile type to isolate memory leaks.
